2025 Love A Phoenix: Direct Donation Fundraiser

The Early College at Guilford (ECG) PTSA Capital Campaign Team is kicking off our fund-raising campaign called Love A Phoenix. This campaign is a direct donation fundraiser with 100% of your tax-deductible donation going directly to support the renovation of our two modular buildings. Your investment in our future will build on the 2022-2023 campaign successes that have improved the quality of our educational environment for students and staff by providing a cleaner, safer facility to continue the tradition of academic excellence that ECG is known for.

 

Based on feedback from our members, we have chosen a direct fundraiser in lieu of one that would require you to sell items. We know that you have many competing priorities but ask that you consider donating to our campaign. 

 

During the 2022-2023 campaign, the ECG PTSA Capital Campaign Team raised over $200,000! Projects have included replacing one trailer roof and repairing another; completely replacing the framing, handrails and stairs for the ramps that connect the trailers; replacing rotten framing on both trailers and the house wrap (plastic sheathing); replacing exterior siding on both trailers with Hardie Board and batten, including replacing corner/window trim and corner/frieze board trim and rotten trailer skirts; installing smooth coil for flashing for roof; painting exterior of both trailers in ECG/Guilford College colors; installing new outdoor lighting; installing a drain between the trailers to eliminate “Lake ECG” flooding; staining all wooden decks and ramps to the trailers; electrical outlet upgrades in each classroom; complete remodeling of both bathrooms with all new fixtures, toilets, and partitions, as well as the installation of water bottle filling stations.

 

But the reality is, we need to do MUCH MORE and we can only do that with your support. At ECG, we have significant capital needs to replace flooring, remove popcorn ceilings, repair walls and repaint the entire interior of the modular buildings.

 

Since we have BIG Needs, we have set our goal HIGH at $85,000.00. We can’t reach that goal without help from everyone. Please consider donating today. Contributions of any amount are appreciated!     If you collect donations from multiple individuals, please fill out donation cards for each donation. Additional cards are available at the ECG front office.

PARTICIPATION INCENTIVES

Every student/faculty who participates in raising money by December 31, 2025 will be entered into a drawing, regardless of the amount raised. NOTE: Your name must be identified on donation cards and on-line donations to count toward incentives. Winners will be announced at the January 13, 2026 PTSA meeting, so only donations through December 31, 2025 will be counted.
